For me this older version of emulator didnt work, i updated my windows 7 (64x) yesterday, i guess this bug is consequence of a windows update. My right analog stick still activates XYAB buttons. XYAB buttons. Entering on USB Controller Devices (On Windows.
Whenever I go to ControllersGamecube ControllersPort 1Standrard ControllerConfigure nothing seems to work on the 'Gamecube Controller Configuration' screen. It detects that I have a controller plugged in.
An Xbox 360 controller. I hav already installed all of the drivers for MacOSX and it works beautifully in OpenEmu. For Device it is listed as 'Input/0/Xbox 360 Wired Controller' Whenever I try to move an analogue stick or push a button nothing seems to register on that screen. If I try to swap to keyboard under 'Keyboard/0/USB Keyboard' I actually do see movement in the 'Main Stick' section when moving arrow keys around. Whenever I jump in game though the arrow keys seem not to work or register at the main menu of GC Resident Evil 2 along with any other key for that matter.
Any advice on how to get this working would be highly appreciated. Thank you so much. Attached Files Thumbnail(s). (You'll need another emulator in order to use my method.
I used Desmune but there's a few other emulators out there that'll do the trick.) First of all, open another emulator and check its controller mapping settings. Copy down the values of your controller buttons anywhere you'd like. (I used TextEdit for this.) Then open Dolphin and go to Controllers GameCube Controllers Port 1 Configure (make sure this port is set as 'Standard Controller') You probably noticed that this screen refuses to recognize your controller when you try to map any button. Unfortunately that's a bug in Dolphin for macOS, but now I'll explain my way to work around this issue.
Alright, so now tap with 2 fingers (the equivalent of a right click on macOS) the button you want to map. You'll see this open a small window called 'Configure Control' Now you can use the list of buttons you made earlier and choose each one from the list!
(You need to click 'Clear', choose the button on the list, click 'Select' and then click 'Apply' and 'OK') I really hope this was helpful to you at all. Let me know if you encounter any other issues!
